Hello Everyone,

On Friday, March 24th , we will be showing ‘The Lady in the Van’ in Sarn’s community hall.

It’s the almost entirely true story of Miss Mary Shepherd, an elderly eccentric who took up residence, in her van, in Alan Bennett’s Camden Town home’s driveway in 1974, and stayed there until her death 15 years later. Miss Shepherd is brilliantly portrayed by Maggie Smith. One not to be missed.

You can watch clips from the film here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WlN1b0ok4D0

As usual, we will have a licenced bar also offering tea, coffee and soft cold drinks; there will be a short refreshments interval roughly half way through the film.

Please, please tell anyone and everyone else you know who might be interested.

Thank you.

I hope to see you on 24th .

My best,

Owen
