RIVER VYRNWY COMES TO KERRY

Landscape, history and wildlife come together at the next meeting of Kerry Local History Group on Wednesday 21st March.

Guest speaker Dewi Roberts will be leading a virtual journey along the river Vyrnwy, from its source at Llanwddyn down to the village of Meifod. A passionate walker and photographer, Dewi‘s stunning pictures and film sequences convey the magic this river holds for him.

Dewi recently featured on the programme “Cynefin” on S4C, showing television audiences round the lesser-known corners of historic Welshpool.

The evening will be a treat for nature lovers, fishermen and walkers as well as local historians. It is hoped also that it might inspire similar smaller studies along other local rivers such as the Mule or Caebitra.

The meeting starts at 7.30 pm at Kerry Village Hall and is open to all. Entry is £2 for non-members and includes coffee and biscuits. Come and watch the salmon jumping! For further information phone 670561 or e-mail kerrylocalhistory
